- SCAMPI – Class A –
- SCAMPI CLASS A’s are typically known as the benchmarking appraisal. This is the only appraisal of the three that will provide either a Maturity Level or a Capability Level as part of its deliverables. It is the most thorough and robust of the SCAMPI’s.
- SCAMPI – Class B
- SCAMPI CLASS B’s are used to look at a particular portion of the CMMI model, or a particular portion of the organization. The typical usage of CLASS B’s are to perform an initial appraisal for the organization (if they have not started implementing the CMMI yet), or to perform an interim assessment and /or capability evaluation between Class A appraisals. CLASS B’s will not provide a maturity level rating or a capability level rating. They are intended to give the organization insight into what either has been achieved, or what still needs to be improved.
- SCAMPI – Class C.
- The SCAMPI CLASS C’s process is a subset of the SCAMPI Class B processes. It is intended to be used as a “quick look” into a particular area of the organization against an aspect of the CMMI, or for teams to use to perform periodic self-assessments.
- Non-SCAMPI Class B and Class C
As a CMMI Institute Partner sponsored appraiser, John Hostetler is authorized to conduct SCAMPI’s. John has been actively performing appraisals for companies around the world for over 20 years. Many of ProVision’s clients either use outsourcing as part of their business model, or are outsourcers, who are doing business with Western businesses. This gives ProVision a unique perspective on how to best utilize and setup outsourcing arrangements.
In addition, we have worked with many of our clients who utilize other improvement methods and standards such as ITIL, ISO and Six Sigma. We have successfully integrated these approaches into complementary and comprehensive quality improvement programs.
